Packers Acquire Guard Laken Tomlinson from Cowboys Practice Squad

The Green Bay Packers have signed offensive guard Laken Tomlinson, acquiring him from the Dallas Cowboys' practice squad. This move addresses the Packers' ongoing concerns with their offensive line, which has struggled to provide adequate protection and establish a consistent run game. The team's recent 35-14 loss to the Atlanta Falcons underscored these deficiencies, putting increased pressure on the offensive unit and coaching staff.

Despite the team's performance issues, head coach Matt LaFleur has indicated a commitment to the current offensive line coaching staff. The signing of Tomlinson, a former first-round draft pick, signals a strategic effort to improve the offensive line through personnel changes. This acquisition aims to bring stability and enhance the overall effectiveness of the unit as the Packers navigate their current season.
