NBC Orders Five More Episodes of Freshman Drama 'Line of Fire'

NBC has extended its freshman drama "Line of Fire" with an additional five-episode order, bringing the total for its first season to 18 episodes. This decision comes as the series has emerged as one of the fall season's breakout hits.

The action thriller has demonstrated significant viewership growth, achieving NBC's best delayed-viewing lift in over three years. The network's initial order for the series was 13 episodes, but the strong performance has prompted the back order for five additional scripts to capitalize on its success.
