Val Chmerkovskiy Suspended from 'Dancing With the Stars' for Inappropriate TikTok

Val Chmerkovskiy has been suspended for one week from "Dancing With the Stars" following an inappropriate social media post. BBC Studios, the show's producer, stated that Chmerkovskiy's TikTok message, which appeared to reference the Will Smith Oscar slap incident, did not align with the values and standards expected of those associated with the program.

The decision to suspend Chmerkovskiy emphasizes the show's commitment to the well-being of its staff, deeming it non-negotiable. As a result of this suspension, Chmerkovskiy will not be participating in the upcoming episode, with Jenna Dewan set to dance with Alan Bersten in his place. Chmerkovskiy himself responded to the situation, indicating his instinct was to defend his wife.
