Crystal Palace Faces Besiktas in Europa League Amidst Defensive Woes

Crystal Palace is set to face Besiktas in a crucial Europa League fixture on Thursday, October 22nd. The match, scheduled for 20:00 and broadcast on TNT Sports 2, comes at a challenging time for the Eagles, who are grappling with significant defensive issues.

This European encounter follows a demoralizing 5-0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion, a result that equaled a club record for their heaviest loss against rivals and highlighted the team's struggles in conceding goals. Despite the recent heavy defeat and mounting pressure on manager Pierre Sage, the club has indicated a willingness to allow him more time to rectify the team's performance, with a particular focus on shoring up their defense.
