VAR Officials for Manchester Derby Not Assigned Weekend Matches

The Video Assistant Referee (VAR) officials who were in charge of the recent Manchester derby, Matt Donohue and his assistant Blake Antrobus, have not been assigned to officiate any Premier League matches this coming weekend. This decision comes in the wake of the high-profile match between Manchester United and Manchester City.

While the BBC Sport report does not explicitly state the reason for this non-appointment, it is common practice in football officiating to rotate officials, especially after significant matches that may attract scrutiny. The absence of Donohue and Antrobus from this weekend's fixtures means they will not be involved in overseeing any of the upcoming league games.
