Winston Steps In as Giants QB Dart Out for Season; Haener Added to Roster

The New York Giants' quarterback situation has been significantly altered with the season-ending injury to starter Jaxson Dart, who will undergo surgery for a torn meniscus. This unfortunate development elevates veteran Jameis Winston to the starting role for the remainder of the 2026 season.

In response to Dart's absence and to bolster their quarterback depth, the Giants have signed Jake Haener to their 53-man roster. While Haener will not be ready for Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans, his addition signals the team's proactive approach to managing the quarterback position. The Giants are preparing to face the Titans in potentially difficult weather conditions at MetLife Stadium, with offensive adjustments expected under Winston's leadership.
