Netflix Adapts Spanish Classic 'La Regenta,' Expands Indian Content

Netflix is set to bring a fresh perspective to the classic Spanish novel "La Regenta" with a new feature film adaptation starring "Elite" actress Ester Expósito. Directed by Mar Coll, the project, produced by Elastica Films, began production on October 23rd and aims to offer a modern, female-driven interpretation of the renowned literary work.

In parallel, Netflix is deepening its commitment to international content through a strategic partnership with Bengali streamer Hoichoi. This collaboration will make Hoichoi's series available in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu exclusively on Netflix, simultaneously with their original Bengali releases.
