McCoist Slams Celtic Fans' Golf Course Protest as 'Embarrassing'

Former Rangers player and manager Ally McCoist has strongly criticized Celtic supporters who disrupted the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, targeting major shareholder Dermot Desmond. McCoist described the actions as "embarrassing" and likened the fans involved to "daft wee boys" who were "running away."

The protest, which saw fans confront Desmond on the golf course, has drawn a sharp rebuke from McCoist, adding another layer to the ongoing discussions about fan behavior and its impact on the sport's image. The incident underscores the passionate, and at times controversial, nature of football rivalries extending beyond the pitch.
