Arizona State Hockey Player's Parents Demand Coaches' Leave After Collapse

The parents of Arizona State University hockey player Matthew Mayich, who collapsed during an outdoor workout, are demanding that the coaches involved be placed on leave pending an independent investigation. John and Christina Mayich released a statement Tuesday, supporting a letter sent by seven of their son's teammates to university president Michael Crow.

The incident has raised serious concerns about the team's training practices and the well-being of its athletes. The players' letter reportedly outlines specific issues that led to their concerns, prompting the parents' call for immediate action and a thorough review of the circumstances surrounding Mayich's collapse.
