Michael Carrick expressed his belief that he will still be in charge of Manchester United for their upcoming Champions League match against Roma, despite the club's winless streak extending to nine games following a 2-0 defeat to Chelsea. This latest loss has intensified speculation about his future, marking the club's longest winless run since 1988.
The pressure on Carrick has been mounting, with reports of crisis talks and external commentary suggesting a loss of faith within the squad. Despite the dire results, including the recent loss to Chelsea, Carrick remains outwardly committed to leading the team, though the club's hierarchy, particularly INEOS, is reportedly considering potential replacements, with Julian Nagelsmann mentioned as a possible candidate.
