Michael Carrick is set to continue as Manchester United manager for Tuesday's Champions League fixture against Roma, despite the club's winless streak extending to nine games following a 2-0 defeat to Chelsea. This latest loss marks Manchester United's poorest start to a season since 1988, intensifying scrutiny on Carrick's leadership.
The team's struggles have led to significant pressure and speculation surrounding Carrick's future. However, reports indicate that his position will not be immediately reviewed, with a reassessment anticipated during the upcoming international break. Despite the mounting challenges and a growing winless run, Carrick has expressed confidence in remaining in charge for the crucial European tie, even calling the prospect "crazy" but looking forward to it.
