Carrick to Lead Manchester United Against Roma Amidst Mounting Pressure

Michael Carrick will remain as Manchester United manager for the crucial Champions League match against AS Roma, despite the club's deepening crisis. The team's winless streak has now extended to nine games following a recent 2-0 defeat to Chelsea, marking their worst start to a season since 1988 and intensifying scrutiny on Carrick's leadership.

Despite the mounting pressure and a winless run, Carrick has expressed a determined outlook, calling the prospect of managing in such circumstances "crazy" but looking forward to the challenge. The club is reportedly not planning an immediate review of his position, with a reassessment anticipated during the upcoming international break. The upcoming fixture against Roma is seen as vital for Manchester United's European aspirations and potentially for Carrick's tenure.
